Dato’ Samson Anand George began his automotive career in 1996 with the Naza Group, where he oversaw KIA operations and reported directly to the late founder, Tan Sri SM Nasimuddin. He played a pivotal role in launching local CKD operations for KIA, Peugeot, and Naza, and was instrumental in establishing the Naza Automotive Manufacturing plant in 2005.

In 2008, he led Peugeot Malaysia, growing its market share tenfold in six years and positioning it among the top three European brands locally. He later formalised a joint venture with PSA France. From 2016 to 2019, he served as Group CEO of Naza’s Automotive Division, expanding the business into super luxury marques.

In 2021, Samson was appointed COO of KIA Malaysia Sdn Bhd. By 2023, he was promoted to Vice President of KIA Corporation’s Asia-Pacific region, overseeing 30 markets with annual sales exceeding 180,000 units. He also serves as a Director of KIA Malaysia.

Samson has represented Malaysia on trade missions to South Africa, the United Kingdom, India, France, and other key international markets. His contributions to the automotive industry have earned him numerous accolades, including:
• Darjah Setia Bakti Negeri Sembilan (2011)
• Automotive Man of the Year (2012)
• Honorary Fellowship, Institute of the Motor Industry UK (2014)
• Ordre National du Mérite, France (2018)

He is also an active voice in global platforms like the World Islamic Economic Forum (WIEF), the National Automobile Dealers Association (NADA), and the ASEAN Automotive Forum. He serves on advisory panels for Peninsula College and the Malaysian Automotive Association. He holds an MBA in Strategic Management from the Ecole Supérieure de Gestion, Paris.

Most recently, Samson was appointed to the Council of Automotive Eminent Persons — a body initiated by the Ministry of International Trade and Industry (MITI) that brings together pioneers who have shaped Malaysia’s automotive landscape through leadership, innovation, and policy.
